Hello, Is anyone aware of a paper that would be suitable for pastel pencil that gives a linen look background... have seen some new linen canvas boards, but these don't lend themselves to using pastel pencil ...(which id my preferred medium). I love the linen effect background and wonder if anyone knows of anything that would give this look/effect but that I would be able to use the pastel pencil on ??

Could you not use the canvas boards and give them a thin coat of gesso to give some tooth or even abraid the surface likewise . I havent done much pastel work so what do I know ? Maybe some of the watercolour "rough" papers could be worth a look. brain has been racked but thats all thats there. Syd

Thanks Syd I will give it a try... life has been getting in the way of art past week or so ... but I'll let you know how I get on .. thank for your help :)
