I am trying to find a way to light my work space so that there is no distortion of colour and tones. I have a daylight lamp which is alright but insufficient and irritating in that it lights only a small area, namely my support, and barely that, .....also it is hard on the eyes... I know that there are ceiling mounted light canopies of various lengths, available somewhere. The lighting is in the form of a daylight tube set under a metal canopy which can be raised or lowered via a chain, according to requirements. This has been suggested by a professional stained- glass artist friend who uses a similar device but on a much larger scale than I would require. I find lighting a real problem, particularly on dark days and in the evenings (when I often do what I feel is my best work?) I would be grateful to hear of any similar problems and possible solutions from members on the forum who encounter the same difficulties.
