Hang on Studio Wall
Message
Hi everyone! I'm keen to upload images of my art to the gallery on this site but not sure how to do this? The photos I have taken of my paintings and drawings look terrible compared to the ones in the gallery now. HOw do you make it look so professonal? Do you hang them on the wall and take a photo, the crop/adjust with photoshop? I have tried this but photos still do not look as good as what is in the gallery. Thanks for your help B-)
Knee definitely pointing the wrong way, for a start. (I couldn't see that yesterday). The twist isn't defined right in the torso, either.
Hi Amanda, Ever thought of using a mannekin (Small wooden cheap) to work out a figure pose. Surprisingly useful if you use your imagination to flesh it out. Syd
Here is what big layfig had to say on the matter... A bit more tilt in the torso, the right foot not quite so far round, the left on the ground and further back to beneath her centre of gravity. When I tried this, my head was leading, my right foot trailing, and I think I pretty much had one foot on the ground at all times. The twist extends though the whole body from neck to trailing ankle.
