Hi, I wasn't sure if this reply would be too late to be noticed on landscapeart's posting, so I thought I'd put it here just in case. There is a way of removing dried-on acyrlic paint - spray the area with Fairy Power Spray (from some supermarkets and hardware shops) and let it soak in, then rub with a dry cloth - the paint starts to break up and flake off. Obviously, it's a good idea to do a test patch somewhere inconspicuous first. I've removed acrylic paint from a jumper and jeans this way too. Best to wear gloves as it's quite a heavy duty cleaner.
