I have been a bit of a plonker as Del-Boy used to say....
I have been given several large canvas's and I stood them on their edge prior to use, unbeknown to me when I moved them this morning I noticed I have a small dent/crease in one of them where a piece of cardboard had fell in between them , I think this may not be noticeable if I include it in an area of rocks that I will be painting...
However I was wondering if any of you who are more experienced in using canvases can tell me a way of hiding this crease/dent,
I was wondering if I gave the whole canvas several coats of Gesso it would tighten up the canvas and not be so noticeable...
Any information/help much appreciated...

Trouble is that all manufacturers mix their paint to different levels of consistency and, in this case, shade. Without knowing what's in Galeria Permanent Rose (it's not a paint I use, unfortunately) it's a job to think of a helpful answer. The roses I've got, apart from a very old tube of rose madder genuine, are all variations on Quinacridone Red or Quin. Violet - and even there, while most are transparent, one is, if not opaque, less transparent than the others. <div>
</div><div>I had a similar issue with Winsor and Newton Sap Green - not a colour I use often - theirs was just completely different from Sap Green in any other medium: I used it quite extensively at one point, though - it's a gorgeous colour; just not what I was expecting. </div>
