If you're anything like me, as Dennis Norden used so regularly to say, you will have received an inordinate number of emails from one Ethan Semmel, also known as Jack Jarden, a gentleman from the Bronx who sells his oil painting course by mail order.  He has been the subject of some controversy before, responding to claims of non-fulfilled orders with the reason that he became unwell, snowed under, took on too much: all of which may for all I know be entirely true.  <div> </div><div>However: I wonder if there's anybody out there in Painters Online land who has actually taken one of his courses, and is entirely satisfied (or for that matter entirely dissatisfied) with it?  </div><div> </div><div>The snag which strikes me is that if you Google either Ethan Semmel or Jack Jarden you come up with numerous entries about his course, but none, so far as I've so far found, about his paintings.  For a man who seeks to tell you how to paint, I find this a bit odd.</div><div> </div><div>Anyway, leaving all that aside, and conscious incidentally that I have asked something like this before but it got lost in the Oil thread, I think -  anybody out there come across our Ethan?</div>
