I don't have an IPad, Smart Phone or any other device. I ony use POL and Wetcanvas for both submitting my efforts for viewing and Crits if people are so inclined, as I am, often adding a constructive piece to some one. I feel that this site is for that purpose and not just showing off or expecting loads of Kudos. There are some what I would guess are Pros in here who can load the gallery. If I don't like or attracted to I don't comment. In that case I have had charming and thankful responses and that please me. I find the site easy to negotiate now it has settled into the new design.
I notice with great pleasure that we have at least two new people commenting on the Forum tonight - a warm welcome to them! But just in case Alan was right that a bit of controversy might help, I thought I'd throw a match into the box of fireworks before going to bed.... Jackson Pollock - I have seen several comments lately, in the Guardian's comment threads of all places, that he, variously, "couldn't paint", or "was b******s" - now as it happens I love Pollock, and Rothko too, while we're at it; and this from a man who was saying he didn't have an abstract side elsewhere today.. So - do you agree with those who think Pollock couldn't paint? And how about Rothko? And so to bed..
I just got my first "Like" on a drawing I uploaded to the gallery, so I'm starting to like this place more and more even if it is a bit quiet :-)
As a relatively new user, and an avid forum-user in general, the thing that really put me off was the sheer volume of spam. Each time I logged on, all I could see were spam posts, to the point that I couldn't see if there were any genuine posts at all. As a result, I haven't visited for a couple of months..... something I hope to rectify now if there are additional spam-splatters!
I'm told some people couldn't post to the Forum today - is that why it's so quiet?
There seems to be a broken link somewhere preventing logins - the technicians are on the case and should have it fixed very soon I hope!
I haven't had any trouble. He said. Smugly.
I had problems posting replies on the Forum. licking on the 'post reply' button simply got me directed to my account...but happily it now seems to work OK. I'll just have to think of something to post now!
Well I'm back able to access the Forum and it's a big thank you to Syd who kindly sent me a private message advising me to log out and log in again. Well it worked but I haven't seen any advice to do this on the forum (unless I've missed t) so I advise anyone who hasn't yet got access to post replies to try it. Mind you having looked at the forum this morning I see it's flooded with spam concerning lace front wigs. Not sure what thay are but I can see Athelstan trying one out!
I had access trouble too, and haven't seen anything on the site about it. I've just followed the logout/ login process which allows me to reply to posts - let's see if it works. Edit - yep, success, but I had to do on the tablet as well as on the studio pc.

I have had difficulty in posting a reply to the forum for over a week. Clickeing the post reply box got me to My Art every time. I got a message from Dawn syaing there was a gliche. I just logged out and back in and here I am.
Why ,when the posts reach 25 in number do we have to tap on a small arrow to get the rest ,or in my case lose a post which i can only get back by tapping reply and edit. This got me "the last ten posts" which showed my photo of an Ipad for Robert and my text. Why all this twaddle and how does one get "last ten posts" without doing what i did by curious chance. I give up.....Syd
