The new site allows us to report spam on the forum by simply clicking a button. OK you get an e-mail back to tell you something nasty has happened to your mail. You just have to ignore that. But the report spam feature would also be useful on the blog pages. They are infested with spam.
Agreed, there is a need, although I notice the blog has been de-spammed today.
Dawn has zoomed into action.... I emailed her, as others probably did. If in doubt, do so yourselves - and it helps if you can precisely identify the blog in question.
It's Saturday, and "nash john" is back with his runescape rubbish knowing nobody's going to delete it before Monday. The management need to block his access.
Trouble is, these buggers manage to change their IP address. POL will never weed them out entirely without volunteer help, and even then any site is vulnerable to attack because no one can police it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I have suggested to Dawn that she try targeted assassination, but for reasons I can't fathom, she didn't seem keen.... And yet many of us would happily come forward to assist, with any weapon that lay to hand ....
