<div>As it has become difficult and painful for me to see clearly and read any magazine, especially one in small print, even using a magnifying glass! I hear from Louise of Leisure Painter, that a digital copy is available and can be set up for me. Which means that on a PC screen I can use Ease of Access programme to increase the font and picture size according to what I need to be able to enjoy it once more. I am trying now a 30 day free trial on my Kindle Fire. This is easier than trying to read the magazine as my Kindle Fire screen is backlit also I can increase the font. The problem remains though that my Kindle Fire screen is a mere 7 inches across, which entails much scrolling back and forth to get the text in its entirety.
In which case, a better solution for me would be to receive the magazine via my PC on Windows 10, and I need to speak to Louise again, which I will do, to see whether the magazine can be made available to me digitally via my PC.
I am wondering whether any POL member uses, could use, or has heard of this facility, which is my reason for posting this rather long-winded epistle (Must give up the baked beans!.....Oops....Sorry...Naughty!)
I know that some members have problems with eyesight, and would love to hear what your thoughts are on this......(NO! Not the wind! the digital copy!)

Steering clear of advice on the question of windypops, on which I am no authority - if the Kindle screen is too small, can you read text OK on your PC? If so, there's a free Kindle app, as they call these things, from Amazon: its intention is to let you read material you download (buy, in other words) from Amazon, but I think it would work with Leisure Painter ..... maybe run that past Louise, who will know far more than I do about these things, and see what she thinks.
I've had eye trouble, which is now a lot better - but my eyesight was never perfect and never will be - but I could still read on screen, on my 21" monitor, and of course you can enlarge the text to your heart's content.

PS: Oh heck! Robert...I'm all in a fog and I blame your cigar fugg!
Of course ......! I have the Kindle App too, installed on my Windows 10, there on the desktop for all the world to see...except myself, until your words of windy wisdom drew my attention to the fact that you have it. I have often wondered what it was doing there...... Now I find all my Kindle content stored in that file.
Woe is me...What, I ask, is happening to my brain? (Answer; It is scattered, that's what!) Simple! And I cancelled my 30 days free trial with Amazon! And with the backlighting the Leisure Painter illustrations are SO much better. The good news is that the LP is still on my Kindle, so I may just be able to re-activate my sub.
Why do I love my Kindle Fire? It retires with me at night, and reads me to sleep very satisfactorily with my Audiobooks. It has a lot of advantages. ... I can increase the font to a comfortable level, for instance, so have never regretted buying it. Not being an early riser I can also watch the early morning newscasts if I so wish. Also I can get my emails. (No, Amazon don't pay me a commission to promote it...I think they should do!)
Cheers
