David, is part of your simple suggestion that posters to the Forum have to use their real names? Christian and Surname (a lot of other sites require this). Can never understand why people want to use a random alphanumeric selection unless like me they tripped up over the sign-up process. Would make it so much easier to then find their work on the Gallery without having to ask who they are.

Which is why most of the time when I am dealing with online I have to copy a randomly generated alphanumeric sequence to show I am not a Bot. So the tech does exist to try to defeat Bots (of course they will evolve to defeat this I expect). Love your Trump comment Sylvia.

It likely is not a bot but a peasant in China or India who either gets paid per click or wants to bump something up a search engine... the answer is to need moderator approval on first few new member posts, really not rocket science but we have all said it time and again so whats the point?

Because sooner or later (I agree with you about the bot or person question, bots don't operate like this) Dawn will gain sufficient support to persuade the company to get the techies in again - and the more we can support her in doing that, the better. I'm sorry this post is a bit incoherent, it's getting late and I'm getting old!

There will be. All I can do is remove it when it arrives. It needs to be blocked so that you don't see it; that requires the site to be reconfigured, which is beyond my admin permissions.
