I know this subject has been touched on by various threads recently and some people have already voiced an opinion about this, but do you think the POL team should introduce a rule that you can only post one new painting on the gallery within a 24 hour period.
Since discussion started about the new postings, I have noticed more and more the whole new postings column can be taken up with one artist's work only. I think it actually spoils the impact of their work as a single piece in their style in a group of other artist's works, to me, has more value than seeing a whole load all at once.
The other problem with suddenly loading several paintings is that it knocks off anyone else's work, even although it may have been on the new postings for only a few minutes.
I just feel that now that so many people are posting on the gallery (and a very good thing too), it would ensure variety if we were only allowed to post a single piece of work within 24 hrs. After all, a day is not that long to wait to post again.
I may be out on my own here, but just thinking of the good of the gallery and trying to ensure that artists get a reasonable time on the new posting list to allow some comments on their work before they disappear into portfolio land.
