Namaste to you all. I've just signed up so thought I would say hello and wish everyone a Happy Dashain - the big Hindu festival of the triumph of good over evil .
My name is Mark Vickers and I am living and working in Kathmandu, Nepal. I am very much an amateur having only just resurrected my teenage passion for art in a practical sense in the last 12 months. I get so completely absorbed when I am in the middle of a painting that I simply found it impossible to do as an "hour in the evening" hobby - I would forget everything else around me! But I have turned the corner and am once again loving painting once more after far, far too many years avoiding it.
I am very much looking forward to getting to know some of you, I hope, and sharing experiences here.
