I use OpenOfficeWriter for all my text especially when I am drafting a large piece for the forum. Not often, but when I do I can't paste it. I have tried various formats like .txt and others as POL says many are acceptable, but they aren't Help please.
I just type my message straight onto the forum and don't have any bother. However I do it on my iPad. By the way I've left you a message on the forum in general discussion, as you wanted to know how I am. Hope you're okay too. Hope you can get some assistance from the others. Ellen
<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm" lang="en-GB">Hi Derek, This text hasbeen written in Open Office. Next I highlighted the text and pressedControl C to copy it over to the POL forum. Here I pressed Control Vand there it is.
If Pat's method doesn't work for you, you should have an option to save your text as a Word document - do that if you can, and try again. http://www.isleofwightlandscapes.net http://www.wightpaint.blogspot.co.uk
Thanks Ellen Pat and Robert, will try them
Ellen thanks again, it's only if I have a long text I use OpenOffice, otherwise I lose my trail of thought, hit the wrong button etc.
Bob if I do as you say I get 4 options of Words. Haven't a clue.

Geroff my thread
Robert - big apologies, I had a Bob in here on my mind
Well respected when he posts non relevant rubbish like that.?
Syd -sorry me old son, that is not a rude ripost. He intruded on a subject I started. It had no relevance apart from the Cut and Paste term. The initial length and content now significantly edited rambled on and what was it about? Did he try and help my quite innocent, ignorant old git genuine query ? Can't see that he did apart from raising my hackles in this heatwave..
