I have an infestation of mice - I shall not rest until all of these half-wit and verminous pests are gone - actually, I much prefer the mice: they come in for shelter, warmth, and food: I can empathize with that. These people, on the other hand, come in to make a bloody nuisance of themselves by selling very stupid superstition to even more stupid western consumers who, they hope, will throw money at them to benefit from their magical skills, of which they have none on stalks.
I just wish I could lay my hands on them............. I'd be cruel: no, you may deny it, thinking of me as a kindly old soul, but I should be cruel; torturous; savage, blinded by the lust for blood, dismemberment, and dissection. And why? Because we all have better things to do than remove fathead posts from people who can manage a computer, but have no advance thinking skills of any description.
I used to think these 'poor people' had little alternative other than to prey on relatively rich westerners, but no - no, they're just greedy, grasping, lazy good for nothings, deserving of no more sympathy than the sneak-thief or pick-pocket.
Incidentally, India - sort yourselves out: there may be legitimate calls coming in from India, but thanks to these people I automatically distrust and won't listen to any of them. If you're wanting to do business with the rest of the world, you need to rescue your wrecked reputation.

You still got your mousies Robert? Fingers crossed mine have gone next door and anyone who has read Sams Tale knows that we don’t care.
I have this little noise emitting thingy run on three AA batteries which I put where I know they go prancing. They do not like it and put mousie fingers in their little lugs and scoot off.
Thank you Robert and Alan for giving short shrift to the pests from wherever they hail from…hale?hail? .

How do, Sylvia - I had a few days of respite, but last night it sounded as if there was a tribe of mice bringing their furniture in to fill a space under my work-top which I can't get at without major carpentry: I have a buzzing device on order, but have little confidence it'll do the job. So I'm eyeing up poison in the local chemist's - who was baffled as to why "you don't just kill the things", when I asked if she had any mouse repellent.
I must say, I'm warming to her opinion. In the meantime, is it too much to hope that we have seen the last of Mama Wotsit and her spells to gain the partner of your dreams, or other more personal improvements down below - for which, frankly, at my age and with my opportunities I have no use at all? I lost count of the number of posts she or he had either inserted into other threads or started in others - I have the comfort of knowing that I've spared Dawn & Co the job of removing several score of the things when they come back to work: this sort of thing could disable some forums, because who on earth wants to be faced with all this first thing in the morning? Best day's work I ever did, offering to help with this stuff - if only I was as good with my personal housekeeping, maybe I wouldn't have mice........

Ha Bari
If the Barn owl doesn’t do his stuff the little sods are back with their off spring., I’m sick of going long walks and car rides with scrabbley mice.who tend to leap, onto my shoes and give me a mouse two finger salute . So my noise emitter hopefully will continue to do its magic. It means they give me and Sam a wide berth. I actually have this same conversation with various other people. Please don’t kill them…if they didn’t poo and pee I could adopt them.

I did adopt rats, as you know - and it's the similarity I can see between the species which makes me reluctant to kill mice. But enough is enough - thing is, you can to some extent reason with a rat: they're far more intelligent than mice - I won't continue to monopolize an art website with tales of the riverbank, but if you show a rat a way out of your house, it'll take it, provided you don't fly into a screaming panic. Whereas mice just sit there and cringe ... it's correspondingly more difficult to respect them: no one likes a skulkit cringer.....
