I have come across a site feature which makes me wonder why it has been created. It shows you who is online. Looking at it I found that for a vast majority of people it just says Google. Does that mean Google is watching us? http://www.painters-online.co.uk/forum/WhosOn.aspx

I saw that too! Could be a Google Big Brother is watching sort of thing - bit unnerving though, don't you think?
I noticed the same 'Google'-thing at least more than a week ago. When I had a look at the Forum threads without logging in, it mentioned 'Anonymous' and I knew it was me. Now, without logging in, I can't open the 'Who's on' anymore but there are still a lot of Google enterings!!!!
I think it might mean our posts can be viewed by googling, so anything we post will come up on a google search where everything is viewable to the general public. There is a button on your profile that can make you invisible, so you can post but no one can tell you are on the forum unless they view your posts as you post.
They are going to be ever so confused if they spy on me?
