Samia, You have asked the most difficult question of them all. Unfortunately there is no simple answer. You will have to try a multitude of different angles. We have all tried numerous websites, blogs, and galleries. It might be best to take a look at websites offering free advice on the subject first.
Look at the answers you get when you google "how to sell art"
I wish you luck.
Let us know when you have found the goldmine we might all want to stake a claim ;-)

I was unable to find the attached file, but echo the point that this is the most difficult question of all. The online sites include redbubble, Affordable British Art, and there are others - how successful they are is something else again. Most of my successes have come from exhibitions - two of the best were actually held in a couple of public libraries; two of the least successful in established galleries - it can be extremely hit and miss. <div>
</div><div>It will help if you can find a gallery to show some of your work; you won't necessarily want to put all of it there, because commissions can be steep, but if you can form a good relationship with a gallery regular sales can ensue. </div>

your asking something now ////every one who picks up a brush wants to know that question.. if you are doing a little tutoring or you are a well known proffessional artist with a big name .you may have a more luck . you could print and mount some work and flogg to the group for couple of quid each( for copying ).what you really need is luck
more than genius ..

. Rather than exhibitions etc which rarely these days attract many sales I have found that the best answer is to get your name out there
Perhaps I am lucky as my work in the main consists of subject matter with which potential purchasers can identify(village and townscapes) Subject matter does make a difference - consider what you are painting.
I often offer the right to use my work to local charities, churches etc for free - currently several are using my work in notelets, calendars etc and this again gets my name out there. You may have to approach them which means a bit of bit of research - but worth the effort - so go for it and contact local fundraisers.
I have even donated works (unframed) for free to local charities to be auctioned off a condition of which is that I can attend the event with a small exhibition of my work in a corner of the room - again this has worked well for me in the way of commissions etc. I also usually invite the successful bidder to visit my studio and chose a frame - again it all helps.
I have a studio which I often open - try opening it individually and not part of a group - a press release to the local press along with a photo usually gets a positive response and direct publicity not shared with others
Websites - post as many pictures as you can (there are free sites out there if you look hard enough) and it will up your Google ratings - this site is a good site to start with and has got me quite a few enquiries - one sold only yesterday as a result of this site (Bates The Butchers which I have had for some time - posted here a couple of years ago).
I also do a little teaching which also helps.
Just get your name out there - but you do t have to be patient - it takes time.

There are more artists out there than people who buy paintings.you will have learned by now that very few artists get very few sales no matter if they paint good pictures or
they paint with sponges and the rest who think they can paint well after the first few
attempts.there are a lot of them too..........I wish you all the luck..........Syd :->
