I have just added a feature on oil painting written for The Artist by Leonard Greaves in 1949 to the site https://www.painters-online.co.uk/Features/Aspects-of-Oil-Painting-with-Leonard-Greaves/_ft445_cat16_tp110_mg13 I have included some of the ad pages - take a look and see if anyone remembers using any of the products (including plasticine!)
