As most of you will probably know by now, we've had another mass attack of spam - sorry it took me so long to remove them, but a) I was having a lie-in this morning, and b) they were hidden in all sorts of nooks and crannies and had to be searched out. If there are any that I've missed, please report them as you usually do, and thanks to those who have reported the ones I have removed. In other words, if there's a remaining spam post, it's there because I haven't yet found it.

Thanks, Syd - I do me poor best.... Marialena, because I enjoyed the replies, especially Syd's, I've left the one comment intact for the moment anyway: Dawn may well remove it when she's back at work; or I might just beat her to it when everyone has savoured Syd's reply. It was all I needed this morning, really - battling with a hangover (all my own stupid fault, of course) I was faced with post after post of gibberish from some far-distant astrologer and peddler of pure woo - just as well for him/her that they are far-distant, or I'd kick their shins.. And I did miss this one; let us hope he's learned his lesson - painting by numbers! Gah!

Just want to add my thanks Robert for your sterling efforts. I never see these spam posts, possibly because I am in quite a different time zone so you've probably worked your magic before I go online. I do love Syd's reply, glad you left that one.

At the bottom right of each box containing a post you'll find three symbols - click on the triangular one with an exclamation mark in it, and you'll be able to report it. Dawn has been busy this very morning dealing with the latest instalment.

As I (rather obviously, really) don't send reports of spam to the moderators, I don't know if that's the email account which routes them to us - it doesn't look familiar, though. I would take a non-delivery message as indicating that the link doesn't work - but I receive, as does Dawn, all reports of spam on my home e-mail address, sent to me by POL if you click on the triangle symbol at the bottom of each comment box. Is this notification that Keora received that which those who do report, including Pat and Alanrollmopmusic, receive?

Odd, and confusing. However, I received a spam post report this morning, so at least it works. (I wonder why someone thinks a suction pump would be of interest to us....?)

Yes - I always get an "Undelivered" message when I report spam. Sometimes I get Dawn's "Out of Office" too Alan Green a.k.a. [email protected]

Sorry to barge in on this posting but I done know how to open a new discussion but I have just had an email from someone from Pencil Heaven which is a new site for coloured pencils artists I dont know how but it appears I have joined . baring in mind the problems we have had on POL I thought you might be interested to read this this email reads as follows Members be warned. Member Charles Gaines has admitted to taking work from other artists and redoing them with colored pencil to pass off as his own work. Block him immedietely or he will take your work! I have verification from an admin from another art group as well as screenshots from the messages he sent me. This is very alarming and very illegal. cheers Tao
