I am wondering how paintings on the front page 'A Selection for May 2015' and so on are chosen. Is it random or does someone on the POL team decide what gets featured on there? On the old site, there used to be a definite selection of 6 paintings for a particular month, but there are a lot more paintings on this feature on the new site and some of the paintings stay on there for ages and others come and go.
Someone explain please??

I doubt if anyone will explain - they haven't so far. There are so many issues raised in the 'Gripes' thread - I keep thinking 'surely they will be addressed' or some explanation or site rules will be forthcoming but so far nothing. I've already virtually given up with the gallery but keep returning to the site in hope. Perhaps I'm just a little impatient and not sure if I will take the plunge but I'm now contemplating taking a complete POL holiday for a few weeks just to see how it pans out !

Has anyone noticed that the paintings featured on the front page 'Selection from...... etc' are very much of a type - all very serious works - nothing experimental or fun gets a look in. I do think this selection should reflect everything that of that is posted on the gallery and not be quite so .....well 'sanitized' for the want of a better word,
And yes, I know that I have been doing some experimental and fun work, but I am definitely not tilting to have all my stuff featured but some others have also done some work like this which is brilliant (and far better than mine) and I would like to see some of those works featured.

Am trying to get back to the gallery....I want to see both Theas and Nerys new pics....I can't get there without logging out/ in ...and doing a Hokey Cokey .
I so agree some of those pics are growing whiskers I eventually made contact re my disapearing blog posts I really think they are gone , gone , gone. We also seem to have lost Amanda.. Any clues. .?

Sylvia, on my iPad, I am not able to leave the Forum and go back to the Gallery without scrolling into the 'History' of my iPad or logging in and logging out….. However, on my iMac, I still can see the main top title 'Paintersonline' and click on this. This returns me back to the POL-Homepage.
My Blogs are still gone, also my Suscriptions but… I received my magazines (Artist and Leasure Painter) today.
