Hello, i am looking to get some constructive criticism for my oil paintings i have started, i have only just started experimenting with the medium but i am already a massive fan as it is so different to my usual medium ( I am a tattoo artist) This is the first painting i have ever done in oils, i am not overly pleased with it but it did serve its purpose in allowing me to grasp some very basic techniques with a medium that is unusual and extremely universal in my opinion I then moved onto painting a portrait of my father(my second oil painting), this is still a very much an unfinished piece and requires a fair few more layers before i start getting my teeth into the detail This is the most current painting that is still a massive work in progress that has taken influence from my job. I decided to experiment alot more with this piece. Now i am really looking for constructive criticism but i am also after your general opinion however bad or good they may be, do these paintings appeal to you, do they make you feel anything or give off any connotations, is the subject matter good? This will help me greatly to improve as an artist and i thank you in advance for your replies :) A moderator writes; this thread is difficult to read as theses images are above the recommended 50Kb maximum.
