We very often get requests to identify a painting on the basis of a foggy photograph, an indecipherable signature, and no photo of the back of it, where much information can be gained. And just about never have we been able to identify them - has there ever been an occasion when we could?
So - there's a page on reddit, just for these keen seekers after fame and fortune, or those seeking information for less mercenary reasons. And it is:
