I'm sure this is a very silly question, but I am completely new to all of this - just reading the Nov edition of LP, in particular the Back to Basics oil demo, is the tonal version a seperate picture or an underlay to the finished product. I suspect as it's oils it must be an underlay, but it's not obvious.
