Hi, just an update from previous Night Painting post. I'm John a painter from Manchester, my work is drawing and painting based, my subject matter is mainly urban landscapes, cityscapes from observation, I enjoy looking for a good design in a potential painting, interesting tonal contrasts and using colour as a tone. I'm looking for other painters to go out night painting, maybe form a group, maybe some artists have transport so we carry our painting gear. Im buying a new Plein air easel next week, a bit of information about me, I was born in Manchester and I studied fine art to b.a and m.a level, since leaving education I have had many non art related day jobs, I had a studio in the Ancoats area of Manchester from 2000 to 2006, I currently draw and paint from home and work part time in a day job, anyone who is interested get back to me on here or email [email protected].
