I usually paint with charcoal but i saw this article in the artist sept ed and thought i would have a go. I went to buy the materials and could not believe the price of the lead primer !!!! As this is such an expensive part (and i should imagine theres a lot of readers out there in the same situation as myself with limited funds ). Is there a more affordable alternative and could the article not have listed it one. Would oil primer not be any good in place ?
