It takes me a bit of time to wade through art magazines and books; I save bits for later. Well, I was reading, last night when I couldn't sleep, the August 2011 edition of The Artist - and found an article on portraiture by one Scott Bridgwood. Scott, it tells us, uses Winsor & Newton oil paint, including "ivory white": but W & N don't do an Ivory White; so far as I know, they never have...<div>It takes me a while, but like Slipper of the Yard, I get there in the end. So come, Artist magazine - 'fess up. What gives?</div><div>Of course, I might find the answer when I get round to reading the September 2011 issue - but don't rush me. </div>
