I dont normally bother with the little stretching wedges that come with a canvas however I wanted this one to be a bit more taught than usual so knocked them in (not too much mind).
Now I wish I hadnt as a tiny hole has appeared (pin hole size) im thinking it could be from the hammer.
Any suggestions? I was thinking about wetting the canvas to see if it disappeared on drying, or maybe covering it with primer.
Also in future should I cover the canvas to protect it while putting them in the back?
Edit: its probably small enough to just paint over as it is but obviously don't want it to get bigger in time so is it safe to do that?
