Most people seem to like the flexibility of canvas to work on but I much prefer board. I can attack it with gusto and not worry about leaving dents in the surface. With boards I can put the painting in a glass fronted frame after a short while and not have to worry about varnishing it, although I do give it a quick spray .
I know that most prefer canvas ,so please try to change my opinion here as I feel that I am in the minority on this one.

I only use long fiber linen canvas. I think the best canvas Lanificio Prato. This is a very old factory, they have been producing canvas since 1958. You can be sure of quality.
Most well-known canvas brands are produced by this particular factory.

I've seen it, plus one other which is puzzling me slightly, but although I wonder quite what he's up to - well, I don't know what it might be, and I'm loath to delete something if he's just trying to be chatty....
I think I'll leave it to Dawn's always superior judgement, unless of course I can work out if there is anything sinister behind his posts: they seem fairly innocuous though?

The only thing he's linked to is a canvas factory in Italy - so far as I can see, anyway. There's no website links on his profile.
Still in 'benefit of the doubt' mode at the moment. But let us know if you see anything that does more than irritate that he's disinterred a few elderly threads (which weren't actually without interest, I thought...).
