Suspecting that fewer people read the blogs than the forum, and also that I buried a question so deeply in one of mine that you'd be forgiven for missing it, I pose it again here...  One of our number produces, in small quantities, an excellent Cremnitz, that is lead, white.  You can still get these whites, but generally only in larger quantities and at higher prices than they used to be thanks to difficulties in supply.<div> </div><div>I know he's considering whether it's commercially viable for him to produce these smaller quantities for those of us who may not use oils all the time, but like to get our hands on the best we can buy.  </div><div> </div><div>So: would you, oil painters, find this a useful service or not?  I would, which is why I hope you will: selfishness, selfishness.....  But our boy is not going to get rich, or even manage to be viable, if I'm his only customer - because these days, I do everything very slowly.</div><div> </div><div>You'll be doing everyone a favour if you indicate an interest, but especially him: because if no one else wants his paint, I'm going to have to kidnap him and put him to work in the basement for me.  And it's cold in that basement.....  </div>
