I thought you might enjoy this tale........ I'm doing a craft fair this weekend so I went to the Post Office to get my float, the bank having closed. I wanted £100 in fivers as many of my pictures are priced at £95. I wanted to use my business credit card but when I put it in the machine it was rejected....you can't take out cash on that said the bloke. So I went outside, put the same card in the ATM, took out five £20 notes, took them inside and swapped them for fivers. There is always a way!
That sounds insane Peter. I was at the bank the other and withdrew a large sum for some supplies for the garden. Sometimes the bank ask,  what it's for when it's a large sum and I must say this does annoy me a bit. I said, it was for the Casino. Of course I don't gamble but I couldn't help myself. I laughed to myself when I left.

It's like 'Computer says no' from the Fast Show isn't it.
All the very best at your craft fair Peter.  Good for you Denise, I can understand money laundering questions if you were paying in large sums but taking out your own money it's too much. 40 mile round trip to the bank for us now. All five local banks have closed.
Yes, good look with the craft fair Peter, sounds exciting. That is shocking Collette. Mine is about a 4 mile drive there.
I live close to Rutland and am a member of the Oakham art group; the whole county of Rutland has not got a single bank branch any more. The one I used in Melton closed last year which is why I was at the Post Office. Depressing isn't it.
