If we're to have a hope of identifying a painting, we need a lot more information than this; a look at the signature, certainly - if there is one; some information about the size and state of the canvas, including a look at its reverse, which is often a better way of assessing its age and provenance than looking on the face of the painting; where did you get it; was it framed; if so, do you have a photo of the frame?
This looks like a modern painting technique, on a thin canvas through which you can see the stretcher bars. Beyond that, unless one happens to actually know the painting, it's extremely difficult even to begin to go. Give us some more details, take a few more photos, and we'll have a go, if we can.
