What do you listen too? Me....I listen to Radio 2 mostly.
Brahms, Mahler, Beethoven, Einaudi and Richter - if it's the radio it's Classic FM _ If I had to chose it would be Einaudi - so relaxing and it takes to another world.
Mozart when I'm stuck and need inspiration - don't know why it works, but it always has so far. Bruckner when I'm after a bit of deep emotional stirring. And Jethro Tull, 'cause I like 'em .... I like classical music on the whole, but a bit of JT cheers me up nicely and helps loosen me up too. At the moment, I've been clobbered with an arthritic flare-up in my neck and shoulders so haven't been able to hold a brush for more than a few minutes - but it'll pass. It's why I've been here nattering so much - couldn't paint, but can, for some odd reason, type..
Can't beat a good bit of Prog - Rush, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Muse, Joe Bonamassa when I'm in the mood for some blues. Anything loud guitar-centric really Occasionally some Classical Guitar, but that's what pays the bills so I don't want it intruding on the hobby too much
I like radio 2 too! My first choice is sixties music which takes me back to my youth! I like songs from musicals such as Les Mis but I'm not into classical at all, I find it boring!!!!! Now everyone don't shout at once!
Silence does it for me. I love music (mainly classical, songs from shows (and yes I love Les Mis) or easy listening) but - I can either listen to music, or paint, but not both at the same time.

And you could do a lot worse than Mo Evans, Sylvia, couldn't you?
I have to listen to music when I paint, silence makes me want to get up and do stuff. Generally I like to listen to something with a fast pace or something I can sing along to - rock or heavy metal, occasionally the blues as that always puts me in a good mood. Sometimes 80s pop music. I tend to produce my best work if I listen to something loud and aggressive though. Kay M
