William Turner has visited many places and has created wonderful paintings on his travels. Last year I was fortunate to have been able to visit a valley he worked in almost 200 years ago. Not claiming to come anywhere near Turner´s mastery I have painted a scene of the same rocks from a different angle. However the building in my painting was not there for Turner to see as it was only erected in 1910.
