You may rememeber a few months ago i mentioned a new exhibition whose first prize was a hosted exhibition in london. I wondered if any of you entered and were sucessfull.
I have gone through the websites of sucessful artists and I wonder what the judges are looking for. Presumabably not an art work to hang on the walls of our homes. It seems the artistic abilitys shown by those on POL is not always what is looked for. You dont necessarily have to be able to paint. Does any one else feel there is a them and us situation.
Those wno paint and draw beautiful arttistic works which please the viewer, and those who wish to shock depress us remind how awful life can be and who need to be taught to paint. Sorry to be so opinionated but dont understand when there are so many incrediably talented artists the best 60 out of 7-800 depress me. There are 5 exceptions in my mind to that statement.
Tell me am i just uneducate or do I live in a fluffy world..
