Yes, I thought it inappropriate on mature reflection.  Verging on the vulgar.  Reaching the risqué.  I blame a refreshing bottle of Barbera d'Asti.   I frequently re-write song lyrics: usually more disgracefully than that (you should hear my version of 'I want to hold your hand': actually, no; no you shouldn't) and sometimes sing them to annoy and offend.  But then, in this case I thought - would Dawn approve?  You never know, of course, and Slyvia has a keen sense of the ribald: but the prospect of putting them both off their breakfast egg and soldiers was more than I could serenely contemplate.
