Just read that web domains registered using the EU domain extension will be lost after Brexit as companies and citizens outside the EU are not entitled to use this web domain.
Not sure how this affects the art world but it was originally announced on 28th March 2018 - last year (https://ec.europa.eu/info/publications/eu-domain-names_en) - so there has been plenty of time to make alternative arrangements. If you download the pdf file it suggests that use of the EU extension will not stop overnight, but will happen on the renewal date of each site, as renewal will not be allowed for people or organisations that are neither in the EU nor the EEA. I opted out of renewing hosting fees/domain registration renewal for a website (.com) last July. It hasn't been deleted from the server yet, it's still available on-line, and I can still access and edit the site, all of which suggests no reason to panic.
I always viewed the .eu top level domain name as an overblown exercise in EU self-aggrandisement anyway, so I kept .co.uk domains for my music and that of the Big Band I work with. Business as usual round here then. However, it's typical of the EU to take their football and cry off. There's nothing stopping me having a .de or .fr domain (as do many of the American bands I follow so they can reach European fans in their own language) if I want one, so who needs the EU?
