On a recent painting i painted a church spire which was too large and prominent to the point of detracting on the main subject. I had a small piece of household type stain eraser(I think it was) so I moistened it and wiped gently across the top of the church spire and it disappeared totally . After my initial surprise i successfully removed therest of the spire without trace . I painted a much smaller spire in its place ....job done. In an order from Ken Bromley I have included a pack of magical watercolour eraser and am looking forward to a useful tool to remedy my mistakes in watercolour , which we all make. Yes you CAN remedy these mistakes now , so CANT is no longer the word which deters people taking up watercolour.

Syd, I use the magical watercolour eraser from Ken Bromley and it really does work. Another method I often use for correcting watercolours is to apply a thin coat of gesso mixed with a little watercolour to the area you want to correct, and then paint over it when dry. Watercolour handles very differently on gesso, but I've usually managed to get the result I want and it's very useful for saving an otherwise potentially ruined painting.
