I have seen a few people refer to the programme Watercolour Challenge that used to be on the TV some years ago. I vaguely remember it. However, I was intrigued and did a Google search and found that you can still view 50 of the programmes on Channel 4 OD.
I have now watched about 20 of the programmes and I have to say I am so disappointed with the standard of the paintings produced. I wasexpecting something pretty good, but all I have seen so far is paintings with vicious greens, wish-washy paintings, highly predictable paintings with nothing new to say and mostly pretty uninspired work. I haven't seen one inspired painter or painting yet. Perhaps that was what watercolour painting was like those years ago?
Is it just me or has anyone else had a another look at this programme lately and feels as I do?
