Listening to radio 4 this morning. Radio 4 live if you want to look for it . A group I have not heard of before URBAN SKETCHERS were talking about themselves. It is now almost world wide Artists who sketch the world around them ,in situ. Interesting programme and some great sketches on their website. A flourishing group in London and one in Manchester, urbansketchers.org or go and look at their F B page urbansketchers group. Of interest?

I only found the two Urban Sketch groups in this area recently and have enjoyed both. One is Winchester, very loose no heirarchy, every Wed morning in around the city. Generall a bunch of ladies, of a certain age but damn good sketchers and also the much larger and younger Southampton group, Saturdays and more spread in places.
Having been kicked out of my art club I intend to keep going, as I enjoy groups and enjoy being lone sketching what I want and must keep the arty juices flowing. The next one will be interesting as a certain person in the usual crowd is one who has hounded me out of the club
