Went into my local art shop, (Rennies Bold St Liverpool) to buy a couple of sticks of sanguine conte yesterday, nice and cheap, just 60p each but on my way out noticed they had a Loxley H frame easel at half price. I was going to look for one in the sales after christmas as my old radial easel is getting a bit rickety now so it only took a few milliseconds to make up my mind . So having resoved to only spend a couple of quid, I walked out £80 lighter but carrying a new studio easel. Looks like the family will have to put up with egg and chips instead of turkey for christmas dinner this year.
