A title can sell a picture.
A title given to your painting can come with questions as it has just happen to me and I knew that it would. Titles can be as questionable as your piece of work.
I have posted a still life and called it "Provence" well it does not look like a landscape in sunny South of France, however I had my reasons and I have given them in my gallery to a member who wondered why this title.
One day an artist came to me with a fantastic painting to display on a website, he said that he did not have a title for it. A magnificent display of colourful flowers in a vase. Immediately I came with : "Profusion". He could not believe that you could give such a title. He thought about the names of the flowers in the vase but he was so happy to choose my suggested title.
