The EU is considering banning the sale of Cadmium paints - for which the scientific evidence is extremely feeble.  I don't know of any serious artist who doesn't use Cadmiums in oil, acrylic, and watercolour - their loss would be disastrous; we've had them since the nineteenth century, the Impressionists used them, for their strength, durability, tinting power, depth - and as yet at least, there are no effective substitutes.  Even the best Hue colours come nowhere near. <div> </div><div>Please visit the following site while you can, and tell them how important the Cadmiums are to you.  If they do ban them, what happens to Cobalts, Zincs, Titanium, the whole range of metal-based colours?  </div><div> </div><div>http://www.echa.europa.eu/restrictions-under-consideration</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div>
