I mentioned John Ruskin in the comment I posted on the last thread. He taught drawing at the University of Oxford and published his ideas in a book titled 'The Elements of Drawing'. Thanks John. I bought a copy of 'The Elements,,,,,,,,' some years ago. It was an edition illustrated and annotated by Bernard Dunstan. Some of his first exercises are a bit tedious but are worth doing.
