You'll know who I mean when you see his two postings yesterday on the 31st.
Are we talking about a game of two halves!? If so yes quite easy to find and see what you mean. Clever but not my cup of tea. Why not let the work speak for you, a little background info is all we need. 🤨 Tessa
That's the one Tessa, think he's written his biography !!!
<title></title><p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Well the only George Formby song I can recall that has any reference to art is “ Andy the handyman”? But come on, savagely rubbishing people on line by innuendo is not on! If you feel so strongly that you must then have the courage and courtesy to name the individual so that he can, if so inclined, defend himself. This trolling does neither you nor the forum any credit.
<title></title><p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Hi Sylvia, I don,t know the chap you name or his work but I have seen how on line comments on social media can really upset some people, and ones that you would think would just shrug it off. Its given me a bit of a thing about it but I do understand how easy it is post on a knee jerk reaction especially within a forum which is instantaneous in that you write a reply in response and only after do you wonder if you should have, been there a few times myself.
<title></title><p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Yep it usually is a lovely site with lovely people that's what surprised me with this post, unusually the comments appeared to be getting wilder with each post. I'm not being namby pamby, I just think if anyone has a beef with someone then they should be open about it just as you were by naming on the your last post, this gives the other party an invitation to join in and put his/her point of view. Ok it would probably lead to confrontation but wouldn't that be more interesting :-)
Morjorie, you are 'one' of the most supportive people, here, in the forum and in the gallery. We are all entitled to our own views and opinions, whether others agree or not. Seeing art work of famous people doesn't interest me, they have enough publicity, but I did go to have a look of his biog, but didn't read it. No need for all that, marketing ploy or not. Interesting comment by all. Over here we say 'let sleeping dogs lie' 'Lovely site with lovely people' quite right, Sylvia.
