So, my choice for inspiration by what’s available to me is changing. No one looks at other peoples family photos in passing. Thing is, if you do a decent painting of them, they stop and see. That, to me, is an inspiration. There obviously must be something to that magnetic appeal, as long as you don’t go too close to realism. Realism might be mistaken as the very photo you want to portray. I was going to use real life and reference photos in single pictures, but I’ll keep them separated, because it drives me , unwittingly, into realism . Naturally, I am in touch with my surroundings, more so than others, some would say. I suppose ‘I’ am-saying, you have to do what people want to be appreciated, that’s at the beginning of your artistic journey. I have my feet across my open grave, so to speak, by understanding the two generations, youth and older. Combining them would be sensible for politics, the politics of everything. Recently, I have been asked to teach, but it’s not in my nature, because I get too nervous. Same thing happened in life class I went too, I was under scrutiny and felt I needed to perform. The outcomes were okay to me, but it wasn’t really ‘me’ . I’m a solitary beast, and pretty darn successful at it. With that in mind… Success isn’t about money, but it bloody helps. To me, iits when everyone around you knows you can stand your ground in what you do… stand with the best in the world, and the worst… see the art in that and move forward to celestial, which generally means after death… does to me anyway. I’m not saying I will get there. There are zero to zero odds, but I am only human, at the moment, which doesn’t help. ha

Seems like the no mans land of inspiration. Doing what you want vs what's expected of you. For me i suppose i went more for what i wanted to do anyway. Then i found greater inspiration when I hit the wall of photorealism because what I wanted to create was my inner world in its most vivid realism. Hope you find your way through this next challenge and become the artist you want to be.
