I am an ordinary chap and I very much enjoy seeing lovely paintings ,even the ones
which are not lovely ,like some war artists work for example.however I regularly see
paintings in the Artist and LP mags which are in established galleries around the country which are like child's work with vile green swathes of hills lollipop trees and
God knows what. just lately I saw a pic which looked like cliffs made of an unstable
table jelly and flanked by an unreal sea. where do these artists get the beer? And
are the galleries managed by art lovers or the type who will explain to potential customers what the so called artist means by the horrible rubbish selling at high prices to gullible people with ores money than sense.By the way I like vetrianos work and not
because heis a Scot. there's two topics in one thread! Syd :-)
