Just wondered if anyone is watching this and what your views are. To me there is some very strange work on this programme and I don't know what to make of it. I hardly ever agree with the judges and can't believe these artists are the best in the country, many, many artists from POL would knock spots of them. This subject has probably come up here before but as I'm reasonably new I wondered what you all think. Tell me if I'm treading on any toes.
I'm watching them in catch up time so have only seen three. I also slept through one. It's fairly interesting how different people work and apart from the Lake District view all the other venues have left me cold. I don't think you are toe treading at all. Agreed there are better artists around. The format a few years ago Artist of the year, where it was the same group of artists jumping through hoops , on a weekly basis and one being eliminated also weekly was more enjoyable. Personalities came into play and they did a lot of different types of task so their talents were really stretched.
Scottish artist, Moy Mackay will feature this week. We have two of her books, Art in Felt and Stitch and Flowers in Felt and Stitch, available in our online bookshop for anyone who is inspired to try something a bit different! Online Store Books
Thanks for giving us the heads up on that, I will look out for Moy Mackay.
Hear, hear Keora, I totally agree with you. I often think that the best painting comes from the 50 or so amateur artists who come along.
is it possible to view these Sky arts programmes without having Sky Sports, movies etc?
