After having a painting on my wall for a year and not being happy, I decided to revisit it. Brave move, I'm sure you've all been there. Anyone brave enough to critique on their preference? Thank you Alicia

Bottom one gets my vote; superb sky and water
I'd just paint meself a new one - leave the old one for comparison/archive purposes, but don't fiddle with what you've done already. But - did you? Overpainting an old picture is to invite fiddling with it and killing it stone dead - put it to one side (hide it, and re-visit your original sketch or photo). Many painters have re-visited older paintings - in the light of later knowledge and development of technique and vision: but I'd say it was generally a bad idea to re-work the actual painting, or to have it in front of you when you try painting another; start again from the basic vision and sketch: lay more developed work to one side and look at the original inspiration afresh.
I prefer the bottom.one. I prwfer the colours of the cliffs
