SamsTale (story of a rescue dog) It was cold,  very cold and wet.  I could see feet I ,could hear loud noise I was frightened, I was hungry i was lost. I don’t remember before,  I don’t remember anything. Suddenly I was scooped up, off the pavement put into a car and taken somewhere , I don’t know where .  I was in a cage  it had a rug and I was given water and some food I don’t remember what.  I was still frightened I heard barking I heard animal sounds I shrank into a corner I was frightened . Another vehicle, I could smell the sea, another cage but kind hands and kind voices .  A lot of other dogs  a lot of barking I’m quite small but I felt sort of safe. My life begins. I was in an animal rescue centre …I had been “ rescued” . They prodded me, they poked me they gave me needles, they chipped my ear and cut bits off me, but they were kind. I was picked up one day, as I said   I am very small, and  was carried into a noisy bright area and met Sheila and Sylvia .  They were looking for me and they smiled at me  and cuddled me and said yes I was perfect. I waited a week and Sylvia came back for me ..the rescue people had  called me Yoda because of my very big ears.  I know, I will call him “Samson “ Sam for short.   So here I am ,Sam. My life begins.

Sylvia, that is beautiful, tears in my eyes. What a lucky little dog to end up with you and be so loved. You've captured such a lovely expression on his face.
A lovely little dog and thankfully he has found a loving home.
Hi Sam, you lucky boy!
Lucky Sam!
How wonderful Sylvia. I also had tears in my eyes reading this. I think you’ve probably both struck lucky!
Just wonderful Sylvia. Beautiful sketch of your lovely, and very lucky, Sam. Love the way you've told his story.
Lovely sketch of Sam.......best friends 🐾
Sam is happy you like his tail...sorry tale.  I am planning a book about his first year .  From his perspective of course.  We collaborate daily .Paws for thought  🐾.
What a lovely idea, Sylvia. It would make a fabulous children’s book.
Well done you Sylvia for taking a rescue dog and for drawing such a fab little dog.  I'm involved with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home (have been for years) and it's so important that people understand that 'rescue is the best breed'.
My other keep busy Heather is raising £1200 pounds since January making cards from my paintings.  It’s all gone to North Clwyd Animal Rescue .   I have other ideas up my sleeve.
