I read somewhere a few months ago about a painter (watercolour) who, when he is painting outdoors at the beach, uses sea water to paint with because he likes the idea of incorporating the actual physical presence of the scene he is painting. Has anyone else ever done this? If not, what effect (short and long term) do you think salt water would have on the paint?
