I go through quite a lot of kitchen roll when using water colour so I've been trying to be eco conscious and save money too. I was delighted to adopt a bundle of large pure white cotton handkerchiefs that my M in L was trying to pass onto my highly embarrassed offspring. I immediately took ownership and put them to use, replacing the kitchen rolls. I thought they would boil up white again but I have boiled, added bleach and boiled and believe it or not they are still multi coloured. :-o I can't budge the colour. So why do I have to bother about light fastness etc. when using paints? >:-( Anyway not a question really just an observation and wingeing disbelief.
